alstria announces new long-term lease agreement with Hochtief in Essen  

Hamburg, July 28, 2025 – alstria office AG today announces the conclusion of a new long-term lease agreement with HOCHTIEF AG for approximately 18,000 square metres of office and ancillary space at Alfredstraße 236 in Essen. 

As part of the agreement, the existing building will be extensively modernised to meet the tenant’s future requirements and alstria’s sustainability standards. The new lease agreement will come into effect upon completion of the renovation work in the first quarter of 2027. 

As part of the modernisation, alstria will create a future-oriented multi-tenant office building that enables modern working environments while meeting the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental compatibility. As with comparable projects, alstria is also aiming for certification of the building according to the renowned BREEAM sustainability standard. 

With HOCHTIEF AG, a long-standing, strong partner has been gained who will lend the location a high degree of continuity while also supporting the future positioning of the property as an efficient multi-tenant building.
